These were taken in Berlin in 1925....One could suppose that they were for publicity for her movie "Die Freudlose Gasse" (The Joyless Street), as this was a German movie that premiered in Germany in 1925.

I am watching "Queen Christina" and I am amazed how much transgender role playing is in the film! It must have been quite shocking to the general public when it was first shown in 1933.
