Gucci's advertising campaigns under Alessandro Michele never truly blew me away, and therefore I am very much looking forward to seeing the brand distance itself from the Michele aesthetic. We're already witnessing it here, and I am able to appreciate the simplicity of this greatly.

Gives me a vibe like the simplicity and a littile bit minimalsim from old Gucci campaigns done by Mario Testino.

It is fresh, especially after we have been seeing all these fatty and crowded Gucci collections and ads under Alessandro.

It's so prophetic they used a song from one of Frida Giannini's shows in the video. Sabato will definitely take Gucci into a more classic territory come September. Curious to see how close to Frida's aesthetic it will be...

to me this is more Gucci than any of Micheles work.

She still made the worst skinny pants for women or men. Nobody deserved that.
A good decent designer but a bad casting overall even if she did the job. Her voice is needed in the Italian luxury market but I won’t be a revisionist and act like her work was fabulous…

I hope David Sims won't be Sabato's Luchford. His work is a bit too cold for Gucci. Someone like Cedric Buchet would've worked better here.
