Gucci Cruise 2026 Florence

This was worse than whatever Sabato did. You can't even compare to be honest. At least his clothes looked modern and had an expensive, luxury feeling about them. Whatever this collection was, it looked very dated, like an 80's pastiche and very cheap and tacky. What's worse is that it was trying way too hard to be "cool" and "nonchalant" but in the end it came across as cringey.

Besides was any of this actually designed? It looks like a bunch of vintage Gucci clothes found in the archives and in vintage stores that were just styled by someone for a show. I don't see any actual thought or design put into any of this. Alessandro's pieces at least had some kind of "reworking" incorporated in them. But this? No comment.

It looks like someone in the design team had the "great" idea of "what if we mix Michele and Demna together...with some Ford accessories here and there??

At the end this feels like a parade of the spirits of some poor deceased girls, who died inside an Italian disco on fire back in 1985.

Depressing. Gucci is totally a walking dead, a rotten zombie who still thinks he is alive.

And yes this whole mess def hurts my eyes

I mean listen, Gucci is so stale right now that this collection is a win even if it had been their latest RTW.

It's pure pastiche from start to finish. Creatively, it's the equivalent of Rousting's Balmain. It's Lowest Common Denominator luxury. Which, let's face it, is NOT beneath the Gucci customer in 2025. This will be in the wardrobes of rubbish gays within the next 48 hours.

These are trashed concepts from that Balenciaga/Gucci collaboration pulled out of a Milan landfill. But I do like the furs.

Its very safe, they need first to save the brand before any risk… a good first step

Its like a cleaned up AM collection but with YSL or Carine Roitfeld influences. The pants were way too high waisted, it looked comical paired with p*ssy bow blouses . The only good pieces were the late 70s/early 80s style secretary dresses , I had an aunt who were one very similar to that blue one circa 1981-82. The casting was terrible , and for the love of God , I wish they would utilize black models with longer hair, or at least give the ones they hire some good wigs. In the real world 99% of affluent black women DO NOT go out like this , they keep their hair on fleek.

It's not bad they're a little all over the place trying to attack multiple customers, she is a little prostituting. The models are absolutely dreadful except for that beautiful black girl. Some of the girls hair look like it smells. But all in all this is what Gucci needs to relax they don't need heavy visions. I cannot wait for polishness in hair and makeup to come back and style.

Y’all have collectively your lost your minds wanting that man (Sabato) with no vision back. Lol jk

This collection feels almost Slimane-like in its confidence and clarity about who the girl is. I can actually see this woman walking through the Lower East Side or SoHo. You couldn’t say the same for Sabato’s proposition—his woman was nowhere.
It’s another solid outing from the design team. They just need a creative director to come in and sharpen the vision to push it further for real impact. I believe Demna can do that.

I dont believe in the potential of gucci in our current cultural climate. The reason why Demna worked so well at balenciaga is because he also tapped in a moment and culture. The identity crisis at gucci exists on every level, from campaigns to shows to coin wallets, it's absolutely devoid of meaning beyond a monogram stamped on every stupid item. The design team, Demna and sds all failed/will fail in creating something for gucci, because there is almost no story to tell here. Even versace has more potential now than gucci. This collection, probably made with all the right intentions is so hollow and empty, it looks like a pile of stuff from Zara, flat with no history, no heritage. I find it bizarre that with so much money and access to smart people, they're making these mistakes.

Kudos to Cantino and Bellettini for releasing a seasonal bag shown on the runway in the see now buy now version, nice 1,8k spent on a bag that's gonna get discontinued as soon as Demna steps into the Gucci design headquarters in Milan
