You know, Frida's Gucci may not ever mean anything more than just fashionable clothes latching onto a label that Tom made a leader, and I think that's OK. Because when I look at what's offered here, and look at what's being offered at Band of Outsiders... I have to at least appreciate that Frida seems to be making an effort in dressing women decently enough with designs that at the very least, look well-constructed-- and not laughing at and insulting women, which BofO seems to be doing.

It's sellable wearable clothes which is exactly what pre-fall is, now if this was her main RTW collection that would be a problem.

For me this collection represents what is Gucci today. Gucci is not a fashion force anymore. It's just a Glamorous name attached to a 10 years old idea of the brand.
This collection doesn't look like the idea we had of what Gucci is about and doesn't look like it was created with a vision. It's very PRADA meets BOTTEGA VENETA meets DVF meets J CREW.
Gucci seems to be stuck in the 70's...

BUT, Frida can still create a good damn shoe. Those booties are FIREEE!!
