Gucci Resort 2007

it reminds me of Cavalli.
same here, prints also remind me of typical home decoration styles of south of France (what spike called grandama's house) but i only approve of the blue/white print versions, the red/white tapestry prints look heavy for no reason

in general, Frida has managed to put 'class' back to Gucci label, this is something a 'well bred' girl wont be scared to try on, its a good direction and the market seems to adore Frida's sense of preppy chic, its fresh for Gucci but she still need to concentrate on he signature..

Cavalli, Balenciaga, old Chloe, are just few names that came in mind when i saw the pictures, in general, even though it still is NOT for me, i'd say its a good direction for Gucci

The prints are lovely, and the leather jacket is styled really nicely. However, some of the strapless dress just look too bohemian. But I like how this collection gives off a kind of 'rock' vibe, but tones it down a lot from fall. And this isn't Ford, which is good. He's not at Gucci Group any more and his influences shouldn't have to define the house forever.

i honestly think all of it is absolute crap..:( and i had hopes..

Very, very lovely! love the red/white prints and the shorts:heart:

The video has up in Gucci site, i love the details in the heels of shoes and the python bags...:)

Any pics of the details, specially the handbags?

it's not typical Gucci, but i love it!

watch the video on the gucci site, even more amazing in person! there's also a little interview with frida at the end.

dont like it so much..but it's not bad...just for some reason this collection seems wrong
not that there's no silk or satin..it just doesnt look right

the only piece i like is post#1's bottom left corner...and that's only because i like one piece stuff

edit: some of the pieces above are quite bad...
the maroon dress with a silver strap down the back is making me gag

There are very few clothes that I like in this collection. I hate Frida  :yuk:

 the strange print dress worn by the asian model makes me feel like i can almost see a 3D object in it if i stare longer!!

it's beautiful, wearable, but not classic and impressive at all
There is no high fashion in it.
The design itself just like those clothes that you can buy in Zara or H&M.
The Gucci brand itself just keeping losing its own personality.
In the past, when people talk about Gucci, they always said: ooh it's really sexy and strong
the personality was so strongin that time.
However, if she keep doing design for gucci for 10 years (probably not ). how people would think about Gucci
i think they probably would say: ooh that's Zara and H&M's higher-level version
....such a tragedy

I certainly think they will have to find someone new- this woman can't seem to make up her mind on the direction she wants to take the brand in.

They need to decide on a brand identity and stick with it- I liked Tom Ford's Sexy Gucci- though many don't seem to-

but whether that concept or another one, it needs to be consistent at any rate

I dont like any of those Boho-tiered-gypsy-hideousities she's showing. I hate Boho...

I like the scarf details, very very chic...Very very chic. But those Versace scarf shirts from the late 80s early 90s come to mind too, they were nightmares...

i like it , very 70s , i dont think its boho, more prairie girl inspired.
