Gucci Timeline

That my dear is the saddening fact. The store is the epitomy of his family's triumph. Bad blood, and he can't enjoy it. The history of Gucci is darker than we know.

Luckily the Gucci family is still alive (or some of its members). I just met the great-grandson of the Gucci founder in Milan. But he was not even allowed to enter the store  What are they afraid of, that he takes over the company again?
Julia :flower:
exactly my point, it must be a real sad feeling, being kicked out of your own family business

welcome to tFS juliaS :flower:

On the other hand, where do you point the blame for the great grandson of Gucci's founder not being involved in his family's buisness? I mean, it's been very public that the original downfall of Gucci had to do with the family itself. You hear about scandal, backstabbing, bad buisness deals....I mean, yeah it's sad that the Gucci family doesn't have anything to do with the brand, but you can't really blame anybody else for that, you know? I don't know why but it just seems like Gucci is heading in a similar direction now, disagreements on buisness, bad buisness choices, over liscensing.......who knew Rome could fall twice?

yup...i remember reading about all the drama in the early 90's with the family and all their bad blood and suspected criminal activity...they are victims of their own pettiness and greed... :ninja:

i agree with spike :flower:

so what now? you think the only way gucci's gonna go without tom and dom in it is just down??

do you think there's karma in here?

has the gucci family really got into some dirty dealings????

too bad for such a well establishd luxury house huh?!
:( :( :(

Ok, kids, it's official. An email I just got at work. BTW, mikejaimes, this explains why the Gucci stock has been flat for so long, despite Tom and Dom leaving.
