She looks very pure and innocent.:lol: I hope she glams up more for the Oscars - I'm kinda assuming she'll be there with the amount of buzz around True Grit.
I think it's highly likely she'll be there as a nominee. Whether it's for Supporting or Leading is anyone's guess.

Yay! She got nominated for a Best Actress Bafta! Congrats Hailee!
Hopefully that means we will see her on the red carpet! :D

BTW, I love how she kept the accessories to a minimum for the GG. Love the whole look!

OSCAR NOMINATIONS 2011
BEST ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE
Amy Adams - The Fighter
Helena Bonham Carter - The King's Speech
Melissa Leo - The Fighter
Hailee Steinfeld - True Grit
Jacki Weaver - Animal Kingdom

CONGRATS HAILEE

I'm kind of glad she got nominated in Supporting, even though it's a Leading performance (she would've knocked out Williams in Leading and Kunis would've been nominated in Supporting). I can actually see her winning this thing, Anna Paquin-style.

^Agreed! I thought she was brilliant in True Grit.
However, I also want Helena to win it. It's a tough category.

me too:D

Enjoying a relaxing Sunday with her family, Hailee Steinfeld was spotted hitting up a local mall in Los Angeles, CA yesterday (January 23). The “True Grit” star looked cute and casual as she did some shopping with parents, Cheri and Peter, and older brother, Griffin.

Like I said in the SAG thread, she looks nice, but it seems too casual for a red carpet event.

Fair, but keep in mind:

She's fifteen - I would hate for her to look stuffy and try too hard to look older.
It's only the SAGS...
Like it or not, red carpet dressing is changing.

This fit is lovely on her, and the print/colour embodies her youth. She could have carried a clutch. Nonetheless, she nailed it, in my eyes.

Fourteen, actually. And just because one dresses up doesn't make one look old and stuffy. Even though I wasn't fond of her dress from the GG's at first, it definitely grew on me, and it was dressy and youthful at the same time.

well considering about her age i guess, it's okay!
and the way prada modified that dress to looks fit for 14 years old.. no doubt, that's an amazing job..
and also best job for her styling person that still consist/care about her age! not over and looks lovely.

I love Hailee, but I don't think she looks good in that Prada dress.

Her stylist tries to turn her into new Carey Mulligan: wonderful newcomer, red carpet cutie, the same silhouettes ( I mean, just compare her Prada to her Prabal Gurung ). And the designers: Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, Prada... I lo-lo-love them both, but it's like deja vu.

I thought she looked precious. I love the dress and it suits her fabulously. I just wanna carry her around in my pocket.
