Hair Rebonding...anyone?

i've tried it twice. it made my hair stick straight. if you are considering having your done, it's kinda high maintenance. you need to get a monthly hair treatment to not dry out your hair. the process is quite long too. i had to sit for about 5 hours, and it was oh-so-tiring! but it was all worth it though.^_^

Rebonding was big big BIG in Singapore about 3 years ago. Almost every girl on the street had long, poker-straight hair (which I felt was really boring)! The process itself should take about 4-5hrs, they would apply a chemical on your hair, then wash it off after about 1 hr, followed by even more chemicals and lastly manually straightening your hair using flat irons. But I must say its really worth it because you don't have to ever blow straight your hair every morning and it lasts every long! Hair becomes very manageable (sp?)!

yes, I have this process repeated annually. My hair is straight to begin with but this makes it more managable and I spend less time having to blow-dry it, etc

I've been thinking about this but does it damage your hair at all? Here they call it the japanse silk treatment.

My hair is damaged from all of the clour...would this hurt or help?

if u had your hair colored, i wouldnt recommend you to rebond your hair. coz it will further dry out your hair. i heard l'oreal came up with a process which is a lot safer than rebonding.

used to get it done every year.

if you hair is already damaged, getting it straightened will make it "look" shinier and nicer than before, but it will become very very dry.

Since i have wavy hair, having my hair rebonded really worked for me. I have it done once a year...
