Hair Volume Questions - Root lifters / Volumizers

Okay.. just one more piece of advice.

Try using less conditioner.. sometimes, it's as simple as that.

You probably love having long hair (I sure do!), but getting a cut/trim makes a big difference, as mentioned before. I just got my hair cut 1 - 2 inches all over, and although I notice a slight difference in length, I also noticed a HUGE improvement in volume. So in a way, I sacrificed length for volume... I don't know if this could apply to you, but that's what worked for me. (Also, using a volumizing shampoo adds a bit of lift, too).

Thanks for all the suggestions on products, but how do you backcomb/tease? I straighten my hair every day but i really like the backcombed and sort of messy-sexy-piece-y look. Any suggestions or pictures? I'll try to find one in the mean time to show you what I mean..

it's sort of small and hard to see, but I really badly want hair like that! I'm getting mine cut and highlighted in two weeks and and and..

ahhhhhhhh! but okay, if anyone knows how to do backcombing I will love you forever and ever and ever plus more!

U BACK-COMB...you comb your hair backwards, or upwards.

Big hair?

What are some good hair products for getting big, volumous hair... and I mean big, like all those scene kids? And preferable something not too damaging. I'm planning on cutting my hair pretty short and I want to do some fun stuff with it.

Looking for a new Root Volumizer/Lift...Pls Help!

Hello All

I am always in search of a great volumizer (for pre-blow outs). I have alot of hair, it is medium-long but not thick hair. I prefer to only wash my hair every two days. My trouble seems to be with gel products as I find it difficult to go two days between washes without looking greasy at my roots. What are your favorite root lifters... brand, spray or mousse? I will back comb at my roots if needed however prefer not too everyday. Lastly, do volumizing shampoos/conditioners really work or just weigh down hair?

Looking forward to hearing back from all of my lovely root-inspiring friends:woot:

Ciao Bella!

Sorry, thanks for the edit and merge:flower:

Also, in my search for root lift and/or volumizer..this weekend I tried a combination of Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray (Spray pre-blowout throughout back) and then the roots I used a root lift by F.Fekkai...Blow Out with paddle brush, Tourmaline T3 dryer with nozzle concentrated on my roots. I am liking the outcome thus far..two days and holding:woot: 3rd day fix is a 'messy' ponytail w/ skinny headband.....

Ciao Bella!

Bump!

I still have not found anything for my long hair.

The only things that lift my hair:

one week of no washing
keeping it up for a while and then letting it down

I still have not found a product that I can use...
