Note to all involved with this collection:

Draped clothes do not show well sitting down. I get that they were going for a loungey atmosphere, but do the clothes some justice.

From what I can tell, which isn't enough, this looks more contemporary than last season's outing. But it's still lacking that seductive element. Outside of the fact that they're attractive clothes, there's no real draw to them, nothing that makes you want to live the life that these clothes live.

(The smartest thing for the Halston people to have done would've been to beg Tom Ford to be creative director from the very beginning. No other contemporary designer has been so successful at resurrecting the Halston lifestyle)

simple, but quite lovely! i'm curious to see more- and from different angles.

thanks for starting!

Well I like the dresses better this time around. The marketing is not that great on this though. Tom Ford would inject the prefect atmosphere into these otherwise beautiful but simple clothes.

And is it just me or is the whole louche nightclub presentation a little shallow? Halston was worn to Studio 54 but he didn't solely design for that purpose.

The colors are the most obvious sign of how discordant a team approach is. There's no unifying color palette throughout the collection.

Then of course there's the fact that almost all of this is dresses, and cocktail/evening dresses at that.

They need a head designer immediately.

I like it more than last seasons...
Esp. the shorter dresses...
But I feel like I could find this anywhere...

I have to go to class but these colors really remind me of Versace s/s 2008

I know a lot of fashion critiques are biased towards Halston even more so since there is no creative director at the moment , but to be honest this stuff sells well.........in any case I hope they do find a good creative director who can do justice to the brand. In any case I love lots of the dresses here its more upbeat then last season , I guess because its summer . I love the red caftan dress, Its very cool. Its not as directed and controlled as last season which is its main flaw but none the less there are beautiful pieces.

Tom Ford would be a godsend for this brand....
