Why do some people feel the need to only ever to be negative about Hana? I think it's reasonable to look at her from both -ve and +ve viewpoints, and even I concede she needs to put on some pounds, but for some posters it's always negative negative . There are pics of her on the forum where she looks so good and grown up, but it's telling how some do not comment on those and hop skip right on over to any photo in which in their minds she looks 'bad' just to make yet another dig at her.

I agree, roppal. I, too, find Hana too thin, but I don't visit this thread just to dig out her imperfections and make negative comments as I used to,quite a bit, I will admit. As much as I may dislike her, if she looks good, I'll say so. It almost seems as if some people slag her off day after day to convince Hana fans to 'see the light', which won't happen. one person's 'light' may be nothing to another.Every one has different tastes, different notions of beauty.Criticise her, fine, but don't make people feel as if you come in this thread just to give criticism and no love.

Thanks Prixi for your words, it's comments like yours that I find respectful and mature.

I must say I have no problem with people bringing forth their criticisms of Hana. This is an open forum and you shouldn’t have to necessarily be a fan, but there are some posters who 10 times out of 10 have a b!tch at Hana. Now, I don’t have blinkers on my eyes, I know the girl is thin, but I still like her a lot as a model, and if people are coming here to try and make her fans see ‘the light’ then it’s just futile. It is patronizing, and as a result it’s just not going to have an impact. At the end of the day we’re all adults here and we are all grown up enough to make our own choices without persuasion from others. There are some models who people absolutely adore on these forums but I seriously do not see the appeal with them. But I am not going to go on other forums and just constantly put those models down, because it just isn’t a nice thing to do at the end of the day. If anything I try to be balanced as much as I can about them and think, ‘well they look good here’.

By all means criticize Hana, if that’s what people want to call it, by all means slander the girl for not having a body or being childish looking or an anorexic or a monster or whatever other profound insults can be thought of but the fact is there is a lot of work Hana does look good in and some pics show she has put on some weight. If people were a bit more balanced proving they can have a few kind words for her and not always be so alarmingly negative about her, their opinions may be more respected . Just the way I see it.

I know you are mainly referring to me, I do not comment to try and offend or "stir up" trouble or anything, its just my opinion and if you interpret that as "alarmingly negative" than that is your right but I believe the "balance" of opinionated comments come from negative views from one person, to extremely positive from another poster. Please don't get upset over a few comments you find offensive. Cheerio!

Actually it's not only you so don't worry so much. ;)

And 'upset' would be the wrong word. :D Far from it, to be honest, I find it more curious as to why people who don't like a model in the slightest, feel so compelled to come and post as much negativity as they want. It makes more sense to be positive or balanced about someone you like than to be so consistently damn negative about someone who at the end of the day you don't really care about. If you don't like someone, why bother with them? Unless you actually personally find it offensive that some people like Hana? People who come on only to rip a person to bits will be interpreted as someone who's stirring. There are other posters like metal on metal who have stated really intelligently what their viewpoint is on Hana but at the same time can also praise certain pictures of her.

It beggars belief actually, If you don't like a person, why on earth would you take such an interest in them? :innocent:

I really applaud your your attitude and your ability to rationally express your frustration roppal222:clap: , and I'll try and express my point of view about all this. To me, im not trying to convince admirer's of Hana's to convert or anything, i guess that i just find it alarming and upsetting to hear people praise her body when it is clearly that of a sick person's, and its being praised. Now, I admit i am extremely sensative to this and in recovering from an eating disorder myself, i am just saddened that people would think this "look" is beautiful. Am i jealous that she is being praised and professionals tell me that this is unhealthy? Probably so, i guess that deep down i am commenting negatively about her because I see a sickness and something that SHOULD NOT be looked at as ideal or beautiful , even if i don't personally know Hana, I just feel like every "positive " comment said about her is like a punch in the face and it is my job to challange the beauty ideal and try to let people know there are people out there who find this kind of look as an unhealthy and dangerous body that SHOULD not be encouraged or looked at as beautiful because i can't help but see death and pain.  So again, i am just expressing my views and will continue ( I believe i have said a few nice things in the past-_- ) to be vocal about my disapproval with her look. Why do i visit the thread ? you may ask...well, maybe i am torturing myself, or maybe i can't turn a blind eye, but no one is obligated to take my opinion to heart and i mean no mean-spiritedness, just criticism.....:flower: whoa.....this rant has gone on for too long!^_^

I don't think anyone has posted this yet... from Magus at WTF and Bellazon.

I think Hana is a very pretty girl, but she looks quite dead next to some of the more dynamic models in this campaign. Empty, blank and lifeless. She's more a mannequin than a woman to me.

She's one of the most beautiful girls in the fashion industry IMO - but she's always looking tired. I rather credit this to her busy schedule.

She looks gorgeous in that Vogue ed! That and the other eds in the January issue make it a hit. (The Orlando Pita article included.)

Hana's wonderful body, grace and expression all make her a work of art as well as a real woman.

I don't know if I buy that. I mean, aren't ALL of the models in that Vogue editorial very busy? Yet Hana is the one who looks most out of it... I'm going to have to agree that there is something wrong with her, though we obviously can't know WHAT. Me, I think she's got a dope addiction on the side, if not an eating disorder. :innocent:

Don't mind me, just speculating here... ;)

I love Hana's expressions! She is one of my favorites, although I agree that she looked a bit better with a little weight on her.

i'm with you on that one, funnyfan:huh:

I think that Hana is gorgeous and very photogenic  , but the way her arms cave in looks unhealthy. Still, I don't think she deserves being called disgusting. Who we should really be insulting is the fashion crowd who convinces girls that the thinner you are, the better you are.

That is a very valid point.

Today, she really disappointed me about one charity thing...
As far as I know, no one has cleared this up though several people have asked:
What charity thing?
Not to seem rude, but I am very curious;)

Although I don't think her face is particularly striking, I think she is an amazing model. She has an air of grace and beauty. Modeling is just so natural to her, she was definetely born to do it!!
