Why crop the images like this? I like her attitude and pose on the first cover but it works better with a figure-hugging look and not an A-line skirt. And the cropping looks off. It just doesn't gel.
But happy for Joan. She should be getting way more covers. It's amazing that she manages this long when you look at say, Chanel Iman.

I love Joan: she gets so many covers and always works with top clients: brands, magazines, runway shows. So cool to see her work constantly in high fashion. I'm so sad that Arlenis, Sessilee and Chanel aren't around either anymore or that much as her. These days for ''models of color'' they just throw Adut and Anok in every job and call it a day because they are the token black girls. The same with Asian models: you either see Liu Wen or Xiao.

I prefer the first cover and WHY AGAIN another cover where a model is putting her finger on her mouth? WTF!

still, there’s something off about it, position wise. not sure if it’s the shot itself or the cropping.
