Harper's Bazaar France October 2024 : Irina Shayk by Anthony Seklaoui

Anthony Seklaoui is genuinely one of the most confusing career success stories in all of fashion. Every industry person I know thinks he is bang average but he continues to get great gigs. His pictures are completely forgettable and generic.

@Zorka Could you post still life editorial by joaquin and the editorial of adam peter?

I like the idea of a naked male model, very Bill King, Herb Ritts and Richard Avedon
But this pairing has zero chemistry

^ to be honest, I'm not a huge fan but I like her, she looks like a hybrid of the Supermodel era with the exuberance of the Brazilians, just tanned, healthy, confident, and stunning (walking into stan territory now 👩‍🦯) .. and I like that her beginnings were rather trashy and absolutely not aspirational and she somehow made it to high-fashion and has never looked apologetic or like 'oMg sO HoNoReD tO bE hErE!', more like 'duh, of course I'm now here' lol. Her looks/weight have never fluctuated for fashion and she looks equally unimpressed about what she lands and about the level of criticism and skepticism that has surrounded her since her Cristiano Ronaldo days, and yet she clearly works a lot and has gotten to where she is now because she's been constant and seems to be a good sport and get along with designers and models (you just don't get the same vibe from other equally hyped models). I don't know. But also I could be biased cause ngl, I'd go lesbian for her. 😂

eta*: weird shot, looks like the underboob of someone with botched breasts implants (aka. hunter schafer).

Love both the "Malgosia" and "Karolina" fashion editorials. So many great photographs and looks.

Irina always delivers because she's such a versatile model. There are some fantastic shots in her ed.

Irina's hair on the cover is a haaard pass for me.
Like, you have to work to make her hair unattractive. But why would you do that?

why did they choose the worst photo for the cover? are these people sick in the head? The rest of the content is fairly good.

I adore Irina Shayk but this ain't her finest hour on the cover of a fashion magazine. Not a fan of the lank and damp hair or drinking the Cano water. It makes no sense whatsoever, and everything just feels like an afterthought. A shame because Harper's Bazaar France are capable of so much more!
