I think this is one of the times when it makes sense for a magazine to have a limited schedule of release. It offers some beautiful imagery, and exists in contrast to most other magazines - but if you saw it every month, you'd soon feel it was the same-old, and you'd stop appreciating it.

There is always hope, there just has to be money thrown its way. Think of all the great editions Vogue has that are from 3rd party teams. The Vogue Taiwans and what not. They are there, they just need backing.

A really positive start for them after a good first issue. I usually enjoy Sissy Vian's work. Saskia's edit shines here. It's just that much better than Amber's recent editorial from FT's How To Spend It, which was shot in a very similar style in the studio.

I am waiting for Sissy to bring Albert Watson on board here though. C'mon it has to happen! He's such an immense and ridiculously overlooked legend.

Feels like the pre 2017 days again. This is so worthy. Can't wait to see the French one. If that comes with the seductive and glamorous imagery of the former VP, I'm sold. I'm looking for the first issue in digital of this Bazaar now.

Very solid and inspiring issue I must say. My favorites are the first and the last stories (which doesn't mean the other two are bad at all).

As for the casting choices, Rolf is growing on me faster than lightning while Muna is such a sweet discovery. Saskia of course always delivers.

It's out tomorrow so i will go and get Saskia cover.... i agree with @tigerrouge and i hope they can continue to bring exciting content....I like the fact they are less pretentious than Vogue Italia and give better results....

My lovely people, I just noticed that, on the main cover's bottom right corner it says: "N.2 FEBBRAIO 2023 BIMESTRALE IN EDICOLA DAL 14/02/2023" which, according to Google Translate, means: "N.2 FEBRUARY 2023 TWO-MONTHLY ON NEWSSTANDS FROM 02/14/2023". In other words, I think this should be a February/March issue, and NOT a Spring as I initially thought. Which, considering that the first/debut issue (which I also totally overlooked! ) says "N.1 DICEMBRE 2022 BIMESTRALE €5.00 IN EDICOLA DAL 5/12/2022" actually makes a perfect sense!

Disappointing.

For a bimonthly issue titled “New Beginnings” to only offer 4 sparse stories that blend too easily into one another— with the coverstory the weakest, resembling at best something that Emanuel’s D la Repubblica would produce (distracting graphic design overlay and all) as filler, is just too little, especially after the superior inaugural issue. “Black Swan” is the strongest, with the remaining stories just too…wallflowerish. Everything already feels ominously one-note, one-dimensional, and creatively polite— like a tastefully curated window display. If the following issues continue on such monotonous direction, it’s unfortunately going to spiral quickly into just another D la Repubblica— just with better art direction.

BTW, Saskia’s cover is way stronger than Rolf’s, but it’s also too similar to the inaugural cover select. Only 2 issues in, and there’s already such a repetitive, limiting aspect to the branding.

I bought the Saskia cover today...looks great on print...i think that given the times we live in it's a solid editorial proposal,not perfect at all, i still think they have a room to make their product better but honestly today i saw like 10 people, different places, different ages with their copy in hand, that doesn't happen with Vogue Italia..i think all issues from this year will be very similar at least until they will put their stamp and people will know their dna. It looks sophisticated and modern but not pretentious like VI. Ah the first two are the only covers...the "third" comes inside as an section opener...
