Looks like with this issue, Massimo is making the effort to more resemble Bazaar France.

With Marc gone— and his role scrubbed from the masthead, along with Daria’s role repositioned (…or demoted?) to Editor at Large since the September issue, while Massimo takes over her role as Editor in Chief, his direction is clearly in place for this issue. It’s not bad— just not nearly as good as it was with Daria as EIC and Marc as ECD.

Shame really.

Love the cover with Joel Kemp. The fashion editorials look great. "Bright Young Things" by McLellan and "The Gym" by Catellani look fresh and stand out from the reast.

I am surprised how decent the main ed is but that's only because I have very low standards for Alasdair whose work I find mediocre most of the time. The rest is forgettable at best. Why are photographers nowadays so afraid of doing some kind of storytelling in the ed? On location or in studio, it's always a model doing million random poses and looking bored.

Unfortunately…It’s the cheapest thing to do.
