Korean Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue, Marie Claire etc are all a masterclass exercise in the relentless, ruthless and tireless business of fashion publication. Marketing students should study these volumes as a lesson in how to attract/maintain corporate dollars, while supplying a demand for pure commercialism for their populace. The Gucci advertorial coverstory alone must demand an impressive chunk of the brand’s seasonal advertising allotment (…and if it’s true that the brand’s profile and profits are still down in Asia, then that Sabato is truly useless and will just continue to bleed Gucci out as long as he's still employed).
The Loewe advertorial "A Room of One's Own" is the most striking and high fashion euphoric. Shame it doesn’t get more pages— or at least a double-page spread for each shot.
