I can remember Marpessa retiring in the early 90s - and thirty years later, she's on a cover. Even in 2022, the magazine world still has surprises.

We're probably getting closer to the time when Kirsten Owen makes her once-a-decade appearance on a few magazine covers. She's like a distant comet that returns at regular intervals, but the most of the time, she's out of sight and where she goes is a complete mystery.

Heidi must know. She has been a model for decades. She has also shown uncommon awareness as to what her limits as a model are and she has proven time after time a remarkable talent to maximize what she can achieve with the ample albeit limited resources she has. What I mean is, she is smart, and business-oriented unlike any other. So. She has to know. She has to see that Leni is no model, not by a long shot. The fact that she is trying hard to impose her daughter on us in spite of it makes me think less of her. Second-hand embarrassment is what I feel.

I thought the exact same thing but I believe many nowadays entertainment parents think that modeling or acting is the only way to go for their children if these don't have other talents or desire to study or do something else. Many top models who have had children did the same thing as Heidi and these children clearly don't have either the genetics or the real skills to be considered bonafied serious Fashion models with a capital F. But I guess Leni is modeling ''for now'' until she wants to do something else.

Besides that I love Heidi modeling, she keeps is very good after so many years, she's amazing. I enjoy watching her in magazines way way way more than Cindy or Claudia. I wished Linda and Christy modeled more because Naomi has been on automatic mode for years and she's so heavily retouched, just like Kate Moss, that I don't feel anything seeing her in magazines.
