Hartmann Nordernholz F/W 12.13 Paris

I think it's one of their best in a while, definitely much better than last season. The prints are beautiful.. reminded me a bit of Cathy Pill, and continuing with comparisons , the sharp pleats remind me of those Bruno Pieters used to make in his first collections. One of the season's highlights for me.

Never heard of them before but this is nice. The side view of the second look is just WOW! Very beautiful pieces here. Nice cuts, shapes, structures and prints. Great collection! Thanks for creating this thread, MulletProof ^_^

Some seriously interesting pieces here. Who are these guys? Some beautiful compositioning going on. I hope the actual colors, specifically the grey in post#5 are less drab as they appear on these pics. Not a big fan of the presentation job, neither casting/styling.

I've always loved the lightness of their collections even with all the draping and looser silhouettes, their pleating, and their choice of prints. No exceptions here, it's all truly beautiful.

I actually don't think that I've seen one of the collections in the past few seasons, but it's clear seeing this one that they have evolved in terms of fabrics used and in making it more commercial (I say the latter in a good way, they certainly haven't "sold out"). Thanks for posting MP

nice to see some strong indie presence in paris from HN. it's been extremely frustrating for me as most of my faves that i often follow.....wendy & jim, fabrics interseason, cosmic wonder and the like seem to not be presenting anymore....and no BLESS this season either......and off-calendar schedules have become obsolete on modem and mode a paris. this definitely makes me a bit happier.

^ I have a feeling that because they were also some of the last independent acts standing after all the 'storm' that washed away a good amount of creative minds, they will also be the last ones to be brought back now that things are starting to get a little better. Or maybe I'm being awfully optimistic.. I was looking at Vanessa Bruno's [awful] collection today and it got me thinking that an independent female presence is so needed right now as well, you know, not getting gender-obsessed here but I miss the fearlessness in the approach of that 'girlie' territory that Jessica Ogden, Melodie Wolf and Emma Cook had for example.. and I feel like it'd be nice if there was at least support for newer acts but.. nada. It's kind of saddening how 'tiny' the room gets every year, but I keep convincing myself that it's just been some unfortunate 5 years.

I'm surprised and glad to see this from them - this is a strong collection, putting to shame some of those big brand name designers out there.

Autopoiesis... is that to put pressure on oneself? just a guess... I should probably just look it up :p

some great stuff in here... i'm more drawn to the latter portion but i'm sure the other bits are really lovely in HQ
just felt like i could see the shape and detailing more on the unpatterned pieces..

*edit - wrong guess
i just googled...
autopoiesis is self creation/production

Nice prints and I love the simple, well-lit presentation. Lots of good clothes here that have an ease about them. Lovely.
