By looking at this thread I have the feeling that Raf's first couture collection for Dior was actually the one who sold the most in the history of the brand, I am sure it performed even better than any Maria Grazia's.

It is actually recognized that she is the one who is selling the most in Couture in the history of Dior. And it’s understandable. There’s a reassuring factor in her proposition. It’s so much more convenient for a woman.

It’s a bit like Elie Saab you know. The shapes are the same and there are so many looks.

I don’t think it’s that easy to have a real idea of what collection was a success from photos because only a small fraction of looks purchased are available to see on clients through photos. There’s no indication on people who have exclusivity and we also have to take in consideration modifications.

The gown is perfect for a winter wedding but I would take a bolero over the jacket to match the gown! It is such a treat to look into the bustier's construction and the tweed's lighter weight.

I think Dua Lipa wore that dress beautifully.
I don’t know, I feel like the original décolleté is so much better than the modification but what a bride wants is what she gets!

I think the cropped jacket was modern in 1993 but a mini cape would have been more modern for now.

It’s insane to think about the influx of archival Chanel that has been remade since Karl’s death.
