Haute Couture Clients

It really just depends on how you style it. It's a fancier version of men's savile row suits;-)

A man opting for womens Chanel Couture. He's utterly embarrassing in that outfit.

The demure hourglass waist and ultra-short shorts are wildly inappropriate for someone of his build and a huge wide backside.

Men flashing that much leg in public? It's just plain gauche. For me, I'd only ever wear something that revealing in private with my husband… I virtually never wear shorts and would rather do a pant in light materials.

IRL I'd die of embarrassment and flat-out refuse to step out with him looking like Shirley Temple. He should swap it for something actually flattering. Only thing that outfit is missing are ruffled socks.

Yeah, but she's still rocking full-on looks. I can’t believe she’s wearing that garish Ungaro yellow single-button cardigan - it’s like she’s an extra in a Spice Girls music video.

Did she run out of money or something? Like, drop some of those dated pieces, and update them.

who is this suzanne lady and how can we be friends?

Shes having a lot of fun with her couture, looks very passionate for couture

Stunning look.
First couture from Virginie and it was surprisingly good, which makes me think Karl already gave some input / designed some sketches and then Virginie build up the collection from that after Karl's passed away.
First two couture collections from Virginie were acceptable for a brand like CHANEL, but after that it went downhill very quickly with the hideous clown collection, the beaten up lady makeup, the pajama and the ballerina nightmare ones.

Ralph Rucci's current fashion creds notwithstanding, he had the most amazing clientele at least in the States. Deeda Blair, Casey Ribicoff, Susan Gutfreund, Lee Radziwill, Denise Hale, Martha Stewart etc. He didn't call it couture but made to order and nothing six figure, but chic. Half of them got married in original Balenciaga or Valentino couture.

Somers Farkas got confirmed as US ambassador to Republic of Malta 2 weeks ago, she used to buy Lacroix and Dior couture in the past, recently her wardrobe is more, erms, Puccified but I bet she'll be ordering something extravagant soon enough.

Update on Lauren Amos:
Lauren Amos: Fantastical Fashion

not my cupa tea but at least she goes for the grit

The unsung heroine of the better-dressed, Casey Ribicoff. Captured here in Ralph Rucci, looking impeccable was the norm. And always smiling.

I love when clients know their complexion.

Denise Hale, also a part of the uberchic clique with a lifetime of couture under her belt, pairing her lavender RR coat with ice white everything, violet velvet slippers with her favorite David Webb brooch. In fact she collects David Webb pieces more than clothes, and was Gianfranco Ferre's bestie. Pictured here with Tatiana Sorrokko, also couture buyer (but made an exhibition out of a premature collection a few years ago, I think a bit too soon)

Old ladies are the best when wearing couture, they never allow couture to wear them instead.
