I was quite prejudiced about this first, but come to think of it, it might look good and sophisticated.

I don't think I could pull this off, but I would like to see this in use.

I like this on people over 30, i think they can make it look quite stylish and modern at the same time. it looks sort of silly on young faces IMO...a bit poseur-esque.

The first thing that comes to mind when I see scarves fit over the entire scalp on a woman is chemotherapy recovery. Especially if you can't make out any hair underneath. :ninja:

How would you tie a scarf to get this look?

When I clicked on this thread, I was expecting something big and overdone but, I'm pleasantly surprised. This definitely works on a relaxed, low-key outfit. My particular favorite would have to be the one posted of Hermes'.

Oh I'd love to see this interpreted but I agree it doesn't always work on ladies under 30 , I already wear headscarves so until I'm 30 I'll continue to wear them. I liked the way Marc Jacobs did it , you sort of expected to see rollers poking out from underneath haha.

Well, being in the 30+ age group I may well give this a try. Just trying to figure out how to go about tying it

the 'quiet' Hermes version is very easy to pull off

you just need a long scarf
take it from the back of your head,
bring it up to the top of your head,
make a twist,
back again and tie (at the base of your head)

sorry for the bad english, not too good in explaining this.. but i tried

i think they're hard to pull off. but i guess they can look cool on the right person in the right situation..

I prefer 20's style skull caps as opposed to turbans....much easier to wear. I think headgear in general is on the rise but then again, I've always been a 'headgear' kinda person so I'm all for it. I quite like headresses too.... like 20's style feather headbands and the like.

i love 20s headgear, too, susiebubble. hope the turban wil be HUGE soon! here's lovely silent screen diva pola negri in her trademark headband:

The only woman I've ever seen truly rock a turban is the lovely Bianca Jagger. She has a thread round here somewhere. Perfection
