Wait here for the barrage of negativity you'll most likely get.

That ought to put you further off for life.

I hate to spoil cold water.. but UGGS.. they are not slippery-proof..

FYI

if you want uggs, you should get uggs.don't let anyone put you off. they're warm and very comfy. I would suggest some high moccassins, (a la ashley olsen)but the sole is pretty thin and not really built for snow. i know it's hard to be stylish, practical and warm, a problem we have in london too. mukluks are really taking off here, and there's loads of flat boots in the stores too.maybe you should thank God wellington boots are in fashion. get a leapord print pair and wear them over your jeans. only joking.

If you want them.. buy them :) WHO CARES !!!

I agree 100%. I mean, why not? If you like them, you should definitely buy them. Who cares what other people might say/think?! You should wear what you like! :flower:

I have Uggs, and I love them! They're so comfy! I know there are probably people who love them and people who think I look ridiculous wearing them.. but I don't care, I like them and that's all that matters, IMO.

I know it's hard to find cute, comfy and warm winter shoes. Besides Uggs, maybe you could look for cowboy boots? Or a pair of slouchy boots?

Good luck! ;)

There are the Ugg Ultras. It has more traction stuff on the sole.
Like others have said, if you want them, get them. If you like them, who cares what others think. I have a pair and I love them!

hehe... I wore my UGGs today around my house. I consider them my slippers. :P

I agree completely with impossibleprincess. I think people make this knee-jerk reaction to Uggs, like they should apologize for likeing them. If you like them, get them. Some people have moved on, or always disliked them, but really their opinions are moot. If you need real snow boots you should get ultras, but if it is just for cold weather you should be fine with classics.

Just buy 'em. You'll be happy you did. :flower:

yea i think i might just keep looking
but thats alright

they just arents as me as i would have liked- thats all :)

but so comfortable  so i might just get them anyways

and i also have to ask -- anyone know any good fuzzy boots?
i know aldo has something like it :

^ in black

but thinking back to last year i remember seening somehtig like that floating around, anyone remember? or any new ideas? thanks so much tooties :flower:

As long as I never have to see them, go ahead and buy some. ;)

Be careful getting Uggs wet. They will dry out and crackup.
Living in theplace that invented ugg boots ( australia ). They have been around for about 15-20 years.
be careful what you buy if you buy them. There are some real cheap ones on the market that will just be a rip off.

like lizzy says theya re more like slippers, very comfortable to wear and good for indoors only in my opinion.

They tend to get dirty very easily and they are very hard to clean without damaging them.
With Uggs you are buying sheeps legs with rubber on the soles !!!

just my 2c worth !!
