Henry Cavill

^I completely agree with you the cover is great except for the excessive photoshop, the pictures on the inside are fantastic, his smile is amazing!

^IKR? Very swoon-worthy! This will be a Superman movie that boyfriends all over the world won't be having trouble with getting their GFs to go see ;).

^Totally, I am so not into comic book inspired movies, I have never seen a single Spiderman movie, but I will definitely see Henry Cavill in Superman, they made a great choice!! Thank god that Joe guy from True Blood did not get the role.

I thought Matthew Goode might sneak it for a while, which also would have been fine with me. So far, for the small amount red carpet he's done Henry's looked great, I'm looking forward to seeing his style once he starts promotion for Immortals in November & Cold Light of Day. A good dry run for all the Superman insanity.

Hehe, I totally agree Henry >>>> Joe. Like Snyder said in EW, Henry has the Superman "air" that I just don't get at all from "the Joe guy".

I can't wait to see Immortals and then Superman with Henry. He's waited long for this big break, but good things come to those who wait :).

I think it took him such a long time to "break" because (and I know that this sounds silly but this is superficial Hollywood) he is so classically masculine and ever since Titanic and DiCaprio all of the Hollywood leading men look like boys not men ie Zasc Efron, Chris Pine and of course Pattison. Henry is only 27 so he had to compete for roles with all those guys, that's why I think he kept on loosing out.

Perhaps. But e.g. Superman and James Bond, I honestly think Henry was too young and too young looking. I think it is better for him now, his acting is better and he has more experience. Also, if he had been cast in Bryan Singer's Superman... :ninja:

Now he has a good comic book director and Christopher Nolan, plus Goyer who helped write one or both of the Batman movies. This deal is so much better.

Oh I do agree Henry's cover was a bit of a Reeves-esque tribute what I meant it was too photoshopped compared to the inside layout (I did say he looked gorgeous).

It gave me that same feeling when I saw Christian Bale on EW when he was brought out as the new Batman.

Henry is actually quite popular amongst comic book fans as Superman.

I just really want them to cast actors in this movie that are talented and have some talent, not like Olivia Wild or Jessica Biel. I really want this movie to be good for the sake of Henry Cavill.

I think Emily Blunt would be an excellent choice she is a really great actress, what about Amy Adams, I kow she is older but she looks really young and she is a great actress.

Amy could be Lana Lang :D

Great point about him being quite maculine unlike so many other actors these days. One of the reasons actually, that I find him so attractive :innocent:

He's tall and he looks like a bloke and actually very grown up looking for his age. In a good way. I think The Tudors was a great place for him to settle, to steadily prove what he can do as an actor and to mature in a safe environment. Brandon gave him a really great arc to play with. Joe Wright actually lamented at the time of casting Darcy in Pride & Prejudice that there weren't enough manly looking actors out there, tall and broad shouldered and Henry's one of only a very few, Sam Worthington is but he's not as attractive nor as personable if you ask me

Absolutely. He was a fan favourite and most are extremely happy with him. The only ones who are not, are pissed Smallville fans or fans of Brandon Routh. The vitriol is especially ridiculous on IMDB, ranging from Henry isn't tall enough to him being British etc. I look forward to when he proves them wrong! :innocent:

Yep, the pose is very similar to Christian Bale's introduction. And it's definitely a lot better than the introduction of Brandon Routh's cover together with Kate Bosworth.

Henry also has the most amazing voice, it's deep and rich, I cannot wait for all those interviews.

I just got the new issue of EW. It's even sexier in person.
I think I may have a Tudors marathon and throw in some Count of Monte Cristo while I'm at it. :brows:

^LOL I´m downloading two of his movies that I´ve never seen: Tristan + Isobel and Capture The Castle :)

Love Tristan + Isolde and I Capture the Castle. Two great movies.
I swear I've seen every movie he's been in.

Stardust is another good one. :D

I have to catch up on his movies and the last season of The Tudors (Charles Brandon marry meeeeeeeee!) as well.

So, he has a girlfriend... LUCKY her!!!!

Henry Cavill, the new face of Superman, has revealed he turned down a role in Zack Snyder's 300, because he wanted a shot at playing James Bond.
Cavill, to be seen in Superman: Man of Steel next year, also admitted that he was up for the role of the Son of Krypton for the 2006 film Superman Returns, although he eventually lost out to Brandon Routh.
Of being up for the part of 007 in Casino Royale, Cavill said to Entertainment Weekly, "'I came very close. The choice was between a younger Bond and a Bond closer to his 30s, which is to say, Daniel Craig."
Of the Superman rejection, Cavill said, "'It was wonderful to have a second stab at a job - and as a wiser, older, more experienced actor."
Fans of the DC Comics icon will have to wait until Christmas 2012 to see if Cavill pulls off the role better than the man who beat him last time.

I can totally see him as James Bond.
Maybe that will still happen one day. :D

And he has a girlfriend? Talk about imploding my naughty dreams. :(

I love that picture of him wearing leather. So hot!

^Yep, I want him to be Bond after Daniel Craig *crossing fingers*.
