I love it! I've been waiting all season for a sharp tailored collection. I've had enough of the oversized potato sacks that seem to running rampant everywhere. It's refreshing to see a designer sculpt clothing around the curves of the body. The leather work is just impeccable. It's simple, but the craftsmanship and tailoring is something worth giving high praise.

I know she gets mocked on here, but I actually like Nadege lmao. She definitely has a signature and I respect that.

the tortured bust harnesses look very forced here like the opposite of good taste.
a better styling and a more intimate presentation in a beautiful salon (like the row does) could elevate parts of this collection.
as her designs are mostly very stiff and miles away from fresh or groundbreaking.

There are some great ideas here but it feels so overdone and fussy. This is the supposed to be the best workmanship and quality in the world, why not let it speak for itself? To me it doesn’t correspond to the image I have of Hermès at all. I’m curious as to how much of this is produced and sold.

I was talking about Pieter Muller’s designs unnecessary restraints on the body, but I feel like Nadege isn’t far; I just find all those laces, shoelaces and corsets laces, very suffocating, and really not empowering… I just want to untie them all, cut them all, to see if the clothes follow the movement

It’s her most “naughtiest/nastiest” collection from an ornamental point of view. The unnecessary harnessing and lacing in most of the looks becomes silly and finicky. I wouldn’t say it gets vulgar or playful because it’s still very timid. The Hermes woman here is still stylised as a girl, somewhat naive and doesn’t embody an actual edge.

I can see her tapping into some of JPG’s Hermes here but it’s just lost in the execution. It isn’t very mature or classically perverted enough to have a punch. Still some cute things here, and that’s all it is. Just cute.
