Do you know who makes silk scarves for Hermes? I read that Bucol is owned by Hermes but I don't know if they also manage Hermes's Hermes's mysterious "silk factory in Lyon":-) Thanks.

There's a company with a factory in Lake Como, Italy, called Mantero. I heard rumors they make Hermes scarves (they manufacture fabric for Chanel, LV, Lacroix, Ungaro, Kenzo and others), but I don't know for sure about the Hermes rumor.

I found an old article about Como silk in NYTimes. They said (it was 1991 :-) that Mantero made silk for Vuitton, Cartier, Ricci and Ungaro, and exclusively silk scarves for Chanel.
