He's Just Not That Into You

my sister read this book and got this idea from it about not giving a guy your number when he asks for it but instead telling him that if he wants to call her he could look up her number
anyway he never called and then she ran into him a few months later and he said that as soon as she said that he thought she wasn't interested (this really wasn't the case)

after this i gave her a copy of the jane austen guide to dating -which has been much more successful for her

Good input Josephine. I agree w/Prince, this guy is bad news. We need so much more love in this world, and closing our hearts isn't going to solve anything. If we don't want to get hurt we should just love *ourselves* more.

My boyfriend of two years loves me more than the world; but we would never have gone out if I hadn't understood that he was actually VERY interested but just extremely shy (at first) as well.

The Mars/Venus books are far better.

I dont need a book to tell me what is obvious. I dont buy that crap about guys being shy--in these times, you have to go after what you want, and not expect people to be mindreaders. If he doesnt call you, etc etc, then he's just not that into you. And yes, it does go both ways.

Some people do though.
