High-heeled Laceup Shoes F/W 07.08

Just wanted to mention that I tried on the Marc Jacobs oxfords. They didn't have my size, so brought out a size up from what I normally wear. Even so, they made my feet look tiny, I mean teeny tiny ... but that was the extent of the good news. They looked so incredibly retro and frumpy that I thought possibly they should only be worn by the very young, or that you would really have to be super-careful with your outfit, def wouldn't work with the long wool skirt I was wearing at the time, or not care about the effect you're creating :innocent:They really were gorgeous, but ... even less sexy that I thought :lol:

PS The SA said they were selling very well--as evidenced by the fact that they didn't have my size or even very close. I guess they're a pretty good "career" shoe :huh:

^ yup, I tried on that exact pair, as well as a different style (no tongue).

^they are super, but one has to carefully avoid the dreaded "revenge of the school marm" look!

i seem to only be able to where these with tights/leggings...i can't get them right with jeans. any suggestions?

i'm thinking about my cropped skinnies with an oversized v-neck sweater? also thinking of doing the rolled jeans thing...

I think they go with jeans with a little flair. And as far as being a little less sexy, sexy is all in the confidence in which they are worn. And these are definately struttable (ok, that is not a word, but I think you know what I mean.:innocent:

I think all of these would go with these type of shoe:
skinny pants or jeans;
wide leg pants or jeans;
short skirts.

And have you tried on the shoes pictured above?

hey all, i really love oxford pumps, but im in a serious confusion between 2 shoes, so i need ur help deciding which one looks better, as i will buy one of them.

jeffrey campbell oxfords

Dolce vita stella oxfords

which pair do u think looks better? which looks more comfortable? and which has higher heel coz the higher is the better for me :wink:
(in the websites, the jeffrey oxfords are said to be 4'' inch, while the dolce vita os 3.75'')

oh and 1 last question, is the color of the dolce vite BLACK? because in the website it is said to be black but it does look brown to me :blink: ?!

thanks gurls :flower:
