Honoring ten years of Russian Vogue, 31 top designers, took part in designing special art pieces, in shape of world famous Russian Babooshkas, set to be a part of a special charity auction by Russian Vogue magazine and Matrioshka's gallery. These half meter tall russian figurines, will go for 5000 euros a piece (starting price), each is decorated with a signature design of its own designer.

I think these are adorable and worth sharing with everyone! :flower:
I can't read what's on Vogue Russia's site (since it's in Russian), but

L to R: Nina Donis, Celine, Jitrois, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent

I think Naomi Campbel's BF bought her one of them - maybe the Alaia one?

Is this AVAILABLE in ASIA!?

^ And the private auction is over, isn't it? Because it started in September 2008. Or is it still going on?

i think its finished by now, they were going for 5000 euro +

they are cute and I have seen some of them, but just to correct you: they are not Babooshkas but Matryoshkas :) ìàòð¸øêà in russian :) babooshka means an old lady :D

i was wondering about that too.^
i heard that the two words are connected. that matryoshka is supposed to be an old lady/babushka? with a scarf around her head
