pinkpolo - If you just want to rock a headband for the heck of it, why not just leave your bangs out? Sweep 'em to the side, spray with a light hairspray to hold, then wear the headband where the bangs and the rest of your hair part.
If you just want the hair out of your eyes, but in a sleek & chic way, I suggest starting right out of the shower. Toss your head and blow dry your hair upside down, then upright and blow those bangs back. Alternate back and forth so you achieve both volume and direction. Then, you might consider flat-ironing your bangs backward so they lay that way too. Toss your head again and gather all your hair up in a high ponytail, leaving just the bangs out. Next, gather all of your bangs and pull them back taut by pinching the ends, but then ever so slightly pull them back towards your face, achieving a
slight poof upward. Pin them down with two hair pins, each one going in opposite direction, making sure to weave them under the rest of your hair in an "over and under" way so they are hidden.
Then make sure to use a piece of hair from underneath the pony to wrap around the elastic band (secure with a pin) to finish the look. Done!
Remember, a high ponytail with volume/bump/poof is a great way to balance out lots of facial attributes, including a large forhead or nose!
