Conceptual artists have often obtained a space within the Wild Bunch Project to showcase their talent. Hussein Chalayan, who was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1970 and was named British Designer of the Year in both 1999 and 2000, is well known for his directional work. Now Chalayan launches a one-off, men’s capsule collection exclusively for YOOX

I love the gray short sleeve shirt with zippers.
It's stylish yet, casual. :)

A lot of great basic pieces w/ interesting little twists...
well priced, too..
I love that two-tone short sleeve shirt...
It's so adorable..
I'd wear it... :crush:
Thanks for the thread, softgrey!

i expected more than basics with a "twist." though these are nice, it's still expensive.

interesting!

i read about this in W but it's cool to see the actual pieces..

Is he only doing men's?

From what I read in W I thought he would be doing women's as well...

i agree! too pricey! how can a long sleeve tshirt cost that much?
however, i trust hussein to make good quality clothes. not like marc jacobs who clearly doesn't give a s*** about quality (re: marc by marc jacobs)

i remember when he said in an interview he preferred not having fashion for men :o

i'm wondering if it's just the design but
some of the looks.. it looks like the model is wearing a shirt on top of another shirt
because the top fabric is moving in a different way to the bottom one

I remember that too, Gius--MJ and McQueen have also said something similar.
:p

This looks like Chalayan's menswear always does--extremely clean and simple, but with subtle twists and details. I agree that the price points are good, but I wonder if people will pay even that much for such quiet pieces....

thanks for posting, softie. :flower:

^ I think this may be geared towards Chalayan enthusiasts...
Or ppl. who often admire his designs but balk @ the $$$...
Personally, I wouldn't mind paying for these garments @ those price pts..
These are items that will endure, both aesthetically and durability-wise...

Personally I don't see any design on the clothings..... I can find a lot like these from Zara with better price.
