Teen Vogue's Sept 2005 'Model Scout' features Hye

Fresh from the Midwest, this beauty is making a stellar debut in fashion's biggest cities.
Following in the lovely footsteps of Devon Aoki, nineteen year-old Korean model Hye Park is taking the world by storm. In her debut season, she walked for a slew of high-profile designers from Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui to Phoebe Philo and Miuccia Prada. But her star status doesn't stop there. Only a year after being discovered in a local mall in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Hye has landed fall campaigns for D&G and Roberto Cavalli. If that isn't enough, she has also posed for a handful of Vogues (American, French, and Italian included). It's about time! This knockout is more than making up for an undeniable deficit in Asian models.
THE BIG TIME "I was so nervous to do this show. Anna Sui is my favorite designer and I've wanted to be in her show since before I was a model."
SWEET MUSIC "The Imitation of Christ show took place at the Lever House, which is famous for its glass walls. As we walked people on the street could see inside, plus there was a live singer."
STAR POWER "It was so fun with all the celebrities sitting in the front row at Marc Jacobs."
GIVE ME A BREAK "Backstage I usually chat with the other models, eat, and talk to my boyfriend on my cell phone."
HIDDEN AGENDA "It was too bad that I had to wear sunglasses at the Dolce and Gabbana show, because I loved the way my eyes looked with fake lashes. I want to try them in the real world."
