 :woot: Too right! I don't think that asians should be judged by the western standard of beauty, as they're beautiful in a completely different way.....

^ That last photoshoot is incredible, she looks gorgeous :flower: thankyou so much for posting it sarahma :flower:

Definitely!! It really upsets me whenever I have some Korean friends who always think about getting double eyelid surgery... Natural beauty is the best way to go! Just like Hye Rim

it saddens me when i see asian girls who feel the need to look more caucasian, because they are not considered pretty when they look asian.

^ They don't think they're pretty? Or other ppl don't think they are pretty? =( That does sounds sad either way

maybe some designers don't feel their clothes appeal to asians that much..?
maybe that's why they don't use asian models...they should do hye park is so gorgeous, and ai is back now!

i love hye. she handled the heel-breaking incident at the dior show superbly.

But how do you know she didn't go for eye lid surgery? I love her but China girl??

What happened at the Dior show with her heels?? Tell tell! Lol.

As Hye was coming down almost at the end of the runway, her heal loosened and eventually fell off. You know youre a good model when you dont even flinch!..she continued to walk pretending the heel was still there, no limping or taking off of the shoe, just walked with a shoe with no heel. And she walked exactly as she walked when she did have the heel.

both ways actually, even in asia (and ive been there) the desired look is to look more caucasian.

thats so cool! hye

i don't know if asian models tend to do that well... i remember seeing a video of gaspard yurkievich's paris-bangkok show, and one of the asian girls walked perfectly as if she were wearing heels, but she was not!... so cool

This sophisticated look mixes two big trends: shimmery eyes and a berry pout. Use an eye gloss or a pewter shadow with sparkle like Aveda’s Petal Essence Single Eye Color in Willow. Line and fill in lips with a deep red. But not too dark, says Soleimani, or the vamp aspect will be ‘‘too literal.’’ For a shade like Hye Park’s, try Aveda’s Lip Color Concentrate in Mauve Mantra. For an imperfect updo, finish with a volumizing hairspray like Aveda’s Pure Abundance. The hairstylist Teddy Charles says, ‘‘It can be hard to work with hair when it’s too clean or fine.’’ Ralph Lauren Collection sweater with scarf, $1,098. At select Ralph Lauren stores.

Hmm you are sorta right... I'm Chinese myself and in the city where I was born, GuangZhou, plus HK (where I lived for awhile) girls liked the "pale look". Oh and big eyes too..
