I immediately thought of FKA Twigs when I saw this, perhaps it's the braids? Either way, I find the lip colour is quite vile. Since the ID reader is bound to fall within Rihanna's demographic fold I wont begrudge her this cover. Does she have a new album out?

I think this is one of her best covers. Very striking image. The 90s inspiration is very litteral but it's done right and works perfectly. Perfect for Rihanna who looks really fantastic.

Twigs wishes she has half the swagger Rihanna pulls off here. She reminds me of a young Neneh Cherry: Tough, street, stylish, soulful and full of the Buffalo Stance. So 1989. So amazing.
