i-D Pre-Spring 2016 by Mario Sorrenti

Ruth bell's cover is the worst I've seen in a long time

Mte. I absolutely love her face, she's incredible stunning, but this cover doesn't do her any justice... it looks awful
It's a terrible photo of her and a really bad cover for i-D

Dilone's cover is my favorite. The other girls looks weird winking

yawn... ^ I don't even think appeals to 14-16 year olds I have a sister that age so I know they're not reading it. it's lost it relevance ages ago.

Dilone is the only one modelling here! The other three are focusing too much on winking that they not connecting with the camera at all. Awful.

Also, who are these people?

A new breed of unconventional looking/acting models, armed with the right backers, to set a tone in the industry.
I've made peace with the fact that ID is all about youth now. To that end I can applaud their decision to go with these girls, however overrated I may think they are. It's what punk would be all about for teens, isn't it? Dye your hair pink, shave it all off like Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta, try a men's cut, or just go for some Botticelli curls, and there you go. You're punk!!

It looks cool, but the background and i-D logo colors are way too aggressive.

Stay punk! Take any money you can from corporate fashion companies!

Same spirit as Love magazine..... Juvenile bullsh*t and hypocrisy

Can we really expect punk from any corporate entity? I think that the covers they've presented are cool, but i-D shouldn't be judged for not being punk enough as the ethos of punk is incongruous to corporate structure.

Can we really expect transgression? Anarchy? Anti-establishment? Fashion IS the establishment.

The covers are beautiful, Dilone's is my favorite. I might just be jibber jabbering at this point as I'm in the middle of an existential crisis about capitalism, but I can't be mad at i-D for not being true punks.

This magazine came out of London's incredible post-punk scene.... I'm not mad at it, just wish it would avoid cliche and hypocrisy..... It's not that difficult to be honest and heartfelt and to publish some passionate opinion (words and pictures).....

Stay punk sounds like a slogan some balding advertising executives would come up with. Tillmans, Teller, Sims et al wouldn't stand for it..... And don't!

I know i-D came out of the post-punk scene and I understand what you're saying, believe me. I just feel like it is hard to be honest and heartfelt within the constraints of the current system.

I feel like i-D generally does a great job of that though, but I can see why the "stay punk" headline would register as disingenuous.

Horrible and pretentious. I really miss the old i-D. They have had some amazing covers, like Sasha's April 2010 cover and Natasha's October 2008 one. Those were the days!

UGH!!! I can't stand fashion constantly referencing Brit punk! Throw a mohawk on the newest 16-year old model, have her stand there looking sour and bored, give her a leather jacket and WOW! So punk! So hardcore! It's been so done to death that any bite it may once have had as a point of inspiration has completely worn off and it's about as dull and predictable as FLORALS FOR SPRING.
