Actually I don't think they look alike ... in the picture you posted they do, but generally they don't.
Chace is too perfect-looking flower, almost boring, but Ian has these quirky looks and expressions that make me melt! And Gale has them too.
I'm looking at some pictures of Gale, and really, in pictures you cannot see the resemblance but when you watch Queer As Folk and Vampire Diaries you can clearly see the similarities!
