which one would u pick??

for me...i'd be torn between stila and mac...ill probably go with mac tho, just because its easier access and cheaper in canada.

oh wow .. this is difficult because I buy makeup from all different brands ~ well, I guess I would probably go with Estee Lauder. My second choice would be Chanel and third would be MAC lol :D

easy question for me... definately choose Shu Uemura

The products are high quality, excellent shade selection and reasonably priced too.

Internationally renowned makeup artist Shu Uemura is the best kept secret in the beauty industry. Attracting worldwide attention for his keen sensitivity and imaginative approaches to beauty, he is the first makeup artist to produce a comprehensive product line that originated with skincare and evolved into a complete line of cosmetics, cosmetic accessories, and fragrance.

AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm obssessed with it. Taiwanese girls always have great taste,PradaPrincess. 8)

And best thing is that it's not expensive either!!! (thats if u buy it in taiwan or hk). it makes me want to cry when I see the prices of Shu Uemura here though (about 2-3x more expensive).

Shu Uemura addict here as well...

oh yes to Giorgio Armani (even though I have only use their lipsticks) and Calvin Klein (love the packaging so so much) too.

Lena, maybe we can adopt you as our Taiwanese friend then

Me also have just used Armani's lipsticks PradaP, but they are fantastic, as for CK i love the slight 'tint' of gray evident that in all CK makeup products (i use the eyeshadows, they do not 'hold' very well, but the colours are amazing)

I'd be thrilled to be "adopted" in the cool Tawainese FS group :D thanks PradaP

Lena always has such great taste when it comes to makeup and skincare, is it from the stylist background may i ask?

the Shu Uemura price is ok here in the states, but i bought them anyway. don't care, the quality is too good to pass. ( or sometimes should buy them in the duty free. PradaP would agree with me.)

oh thank you BabyA, my stylist days must have helped a bit  I did a short stint as a makeup artist (including covers) but that was quite a long time ago

I find Shu Uemura very reasonably priced, almost 'cheap' if one takes in mind how long the SU products last
best value SU product must be their creme eyeshadows that can be also used as lip stain or blush (colour permit  )

i totally agree...shu uemura is so much cheaper in duty free...yay for duty free!

BabyA and Lena, can u tell me what is the difference between normal Shu Uemura and Shu Uemura Atelier?

thanks

"atelier" must be the line S.U. did for Sephora, not sure?
In the S.U. boutiques there are only the S.U. lines I'll check it out on 'location' and let you know

I'd stick with MAC...or, strangely enough, L'oreal...
MAC-because I  their eyeshadows, blushes, lipgloss, paints, etc...and because their concealer actually matches my skin.

and L'Oreal because it seems like da*n near every "Holy Grail" product I have is from them...lipstick, mascara, liner...sigh. If they made a decent lipgloss, i'd be set.
