Hey everyone! I haven't seen any threads around about the latest (in my opinion, greatest) thing to hit the fashion/accessories scene - ILORI (which is an African word for “special treasure). There's one in Soho, and another on Rodeo Drive in L.A.. and a bunch outside of the states. They're currently working on opening one on Robertson Blvd. and one in Toronto next to Gucci on Bloor.
Has anyone ever been? I'm still waiting for the Toronto location to open at the end of May but it's supposed to be amazing. Here's the breakdown of what Ilori is, just to get everyone who doesn't already know familiar...
It's a luxury, high-fashion sunglass boutique. Yes, boutique. So rather than purchasing your new Prada shades at the Sunglass Hut - all masculine, gross, & self-serve-ish - you can go to Ilori, sip wine while you browse with one of their "stylists" and be served your perfect pair of shades on a tray.
They're carrying all of the exclusives - hard to find Tom Fords, Balenciaga's, Chloe, A special line made by their parent company for Chanel, Bvlgari, TIFFANY's new line of sunglasses [
]. They don't do Rx, strictly luxury sunglasses.
The price range is from $200 - $5,000 apparently.
They also make a big deal out of everything being this fantasy-driven, tantilizing sensory experience. A friend of mine said she even got mailed a thank you note from one of the stylists a week later. They're amazing with the client services.

I just thought I'd share the news
