Hi ive just recently started to listen to indie rock and its really good.
My favourite indie band is phoenix, ive listened to a couple others, but im gonna check out the bands you have been listed .

I love them both as well as but i would discribe mystery jet more as a popy punk ok maybe im wrong lol .. just i dont know im just not sure its indie, all though i dont think they are signed to a record label so what am i chatting about lol.

Indie music

Ok I searched for something like this but I didn't find any indie threads related to music, so I hope this is okay.. Anyway the term 'Indie' has so many meanings so you probably think I am just labelling music...which is NOT what I'm trying to do, but it's the closest I could get to describing the kind of music I lovee ...What bands/songs do YOU like that are 'indie'?

'indie' is not really a genre..because there is indie-pop, indie-rock, indie-folk, indie-punk...it basically just means that the artists/bands are with an independent record label...nothing more...

There's definitely an indie sound, I think. But the actual term derives from independent and such.
