Only American Interview can produce a shot of him that will convince me to buy this.

Strong and classic McDean composition and color-palette aside, the Photoshop Bland option is annoying and so unnecessary— along with his ducklips…

Thanks amby

Yes! This is why I love Interview so much, they're always surprising. It's a pleasure to see Eminem on the cover. I'll buy this for sure, should be very interesting

How random, didn't know he was still a thing. The portrait is classic McDean, nice to see the wonders of retouching.

He didn't age a bit! It must be Adobe witchcraft!!!

It's so sad spending a year without any work of the creative director, Karl Temper. I love him, I wish he was the editor in chief of vogue...

Eminem is still a thing. Even bigger than ever. He has a new album out so I was hoping to see him on covers soon.

Really nice cover. He looks great.

The Lexus advertorial is ridiculous, not to mention random and desperate! Mercedes Benz does it better.
It wouldn't be this comical if Interview (or it's staunch supporters on here) didn't act like they were above it all,. But as the Americans would say, 'a check is a check.'

the big question is : WHERE IS KARL ?!!! . I feel like he is less and less involved with interview magazine

Oh Benn— you Lucille Bluth you…

I saw “EMINEM by Elton…” and I immediately recoiled to throw it back on the stand like a nasty napkin that gets caught on my shiny Church’s boots on the street. And when I think of Art— Eminem and Elton couldn’t be as far from that as I could possibly imagine.

These shots of rappers are always so predictably one-dimensional: Dressed in their typical hoodie/kicks uniform with the smoke machine going at full blast, while they moodily— and reluctantly, "pose". Step out of your cookie-cutter comfort zone and try on a different personal. Rappers and Bjork are the most boring individuals to waste paper on in fashion magazines.

(That Lexus advertorial couldn’t be anymore lazier if they didn't tried any less, could it???? ...LOL …)

The Lexus shoot looks like it came from Australia's Next Top Model. It's very high end, but a little cheesy.

LOL,

Well, I agree with you re Eminem. The Elton thing was a trollish move from both sides with which just so happen to have paid off in terms of headlines at the time, so I don't know why Interview is stil trying to make it into a cult moment. What's next? Madonna, interviewed by Britney and Christina?

As for the styling, yes, you're correct there as well. It's very cookie cutter, at this stage I'd even call them innovative if they stuck him in a suit and skinny tie á la US GQ. But he's one of those guys who are very in control of his image. Just like Avril Lavigne, I've never seen him styled in any other way.

At least he stopped bleaching his hair to that silly platinum blonde, which for me highlighted his insecurities instead of the 'alter ego' schtick he fed his fandom?
