The Lexus shoot looks like it came from Australia's Next Top Model. It's very high end, but a little cheesy.

I’m convinced Tyra and that person who says he’s a photographer on her show but I’m sure isn’t a real photographer shot this and not Fabien.

And had they cast Jarrod Scott in various states of undress leading to being naked in the backseat of that Lexus, I would be saving up already… If you’re going to give me cheese, give me unapologetic cheesecake, Interview.

(Benn, I thought he was kind of Florida-redneck-trashy-hot with the Jean Harlow platinum blond hair…)

Fabien Baron shot this, let that sink in! It's one thing to do the advertorial, but crikey, at least get someone else to shoot it. And shove it right to the back of the magazine. But maybe they didn't even had the funds to get a no name to shoot it. I shouldnt actually be surprised because this is the same Baron who worked with Carine and her 10page Falke ads in VP. Birds of a feather.....

The best part of ANTM was this guy, in addition to the narcissistic and delusional 'biracial butterfly' and the staunch Christian girl who spoke with a Southern accent in one of the earlier seasons. I won't dismiss his 'world renowned fashion photographer' title which Tyra bestowed on him to no end, but his advice was comical at best. 'In high fashion we don't...' I was like, show me your Vogue cover!

Also, I'll clear out my diary one day for you to explain to me, at length, where exactly your strange penchant for the chavvy 'rough around the edges' type of blokes come from. I don't get it. It's so tacky. But different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

the big question is : WHERE IS KARL ?!!! . I feel like he is less and less involved with interview magazine

THat's so sad. Karl is one of the bests. I would love to see him at Vogue or Bazaar.

Only American Interview possesses such skills to deliver the HF street kidz look that inspires. “Fit To Print" is lush. The mood, the compositions, the textures… swoonworthy time and time again.

Benn: Those vintage ANTM Seasons were awesome, weren’t they? This was a time when Tyra was a tad more discreet with her manipulation/mindf*cking of these poor sacrificial virgins into constant catfights and breakdowns bordering on Stockholm Syndrome with the promise of an actual modelling career. Her Joan Crawford moustache-twirling behind their backs all the while feigning motherly-sympathy while standing on a pedestal looking way down at them remains my proudest moment for her brand of Cruella De Vill-drag. Those poor sheep didn’t even know they were at their own sacrificial tables through it all. I had a friend who was a finalist for the cast of Canada’s version of that show one year, supposedly to play the role of the country tomboy who transforms into a swan etc etc. She was lucky enough to be snatched up by a reputable agent before contracts were signed and dodged Canadian-Tyra’s bullet.

BTW, Naomi having none of Tyra’s crocodile tears-victimhood when she was apparently high enough that one weak day to agree to do her show really made me adore Naomi a little more. Tyra is the type that f she can’t manipulate you, you’re useless to her.
