Interview October / November 2012 : Brad Pitt by Steven Klein

That cover is pretty terrible, especially when you add in the metallic overload of the masthead . The editorial is an interesting exercise in character play but I'm not that bothered. I guess t-rex was right then, there are 9 issues in the year if they combine October with November.

Like Monday have already said, this cover is not flattering AT ALL. The editorial is interesting, but his lips and moss-like beard just makes him look dirty on the cover.

Not really interested in the other names on the cover either...

I've always thought he was aging badly. This cover just drives the point home. He looks awful.

Blegh. One of the rare Interview covers I can't bring myself to like. The font however is fantastic as always.

Steven Klein makes EVERYONE he shoots look horrible and aged beyond their years. With that said, the only photos I like from the ed are the ones with the dreads. White guys can rarely pull off wearing dreads without looking foolish but somehow they make Brad hotter. I can dig that. ;)

"It’s refreshing to see an actor, imperfections and all, looking like an actual human being, but overall, forum members were not particularly impressed." Are you guys crazy or what? lol The editorial is AMAZING oh my gosh!!!! He shows his versatility with those looks, the story and clothes match perfectly, this is very strong!!! He may look rought on the cover but that's the idea they went for, the editorial is pure magic, some male models can't even do 10% of what Brad brought to the table for this editorial = GENIUS!

The comments about his skin are odd. This is what human skin looks like, especially that of a 48-year-old man like Brad Pitt. I wish women were allowed to be this untouched. Most people probably aren't as repulsed by such natural photos as some are here.

Oh, what a surprise. A man on the cover of Interview has every flaw and pore in his skin left plain for the eye so see, while the next woman on the cover will look like porcelain, as every woman before her has. This isn't even a comment on the actual cover (which I'm not fond of anyway) but I'm just so sick of this cover treatment.

As for the cover story... I've never seen Brad Pitt as actor first, celebrity second, so these images kind of strike me as incongruous. Maybe even a bit silly.

Um I don't think the point of the ed was for him to look
Hollywood retouched perfect and beautiful.
How are people not getting this?
If they wanted to go the perfect movie star route
they would have, it's not as if they haven't before.;)

I thought that was Mickey Rourke on the cover. He looks so rough. Pretty disappointed by this cover thou and his editorial work is also a lackluster for me

is it just me or has his skin looked precipitously bad all of a sudden.

interview knows good and well how to shoot and retouch their cover-stars into anonymity. this was obviously the look for which klein was going. i think it's a refreshing cover for interview, given they've completely lost their sense of humor/personality altogether since the changes made in '09. i wouldn't have thought brad pitt would provide the first non-glossy non-mannequin-looking cover of the year; it looks great.

One of his worst editorials. The one with the eyepatch looks a much better cover

This is brilliant....the cover and the ed. No wonder he is fronting the Chanel N0.5 campaign!! Great cover!

I know I'm alone on this but I can't wait to see the 2 Chainz and the James Deen features

I just come here to appreciate Klein's works, no feeling for Pitt though. Sigrid looks powerful in the ed above.
