I am going to be interviewing him soon, is there anything you would like to ask? :flower:

What!!! Seriously?!?!?! OMFG! IT WOULD BE FREAKING AWESOME!! :D:D:D

Ok, my question would be:

"Judging by how different your designs were from then till now, how has your time in Ungaro influenced your aesthetics now?"

"Lets talk about your pearl necklace you've been wearing for years now. Was it from someone special?"

Will think of more! :D

Ask him how does he feel about actress like Amy Adams wearing a watered down -flat- version of his stunning voluminous dress

Ask him about his recently launched fur line please, has it been well accepted in this financially unstable period of time?, why did he decide to work with this particular material when in the past you rarely see it on his catwalks?.

Thanks.

I remember an i-D interview made with him, that was short, but very good. (i can scan it tomorrow if you want)

But now, my question is:
If Valentino ask Valli, would he design for him? (Beacuse the rumour had it...)

I like the pearl necklace question. I find it funny :P

And may i ask you Harryx to post the interview when it will be actually?
TIA:flower:

Thanks for the feedback! It is going to be an interview over the phone! :)

As for the Valentino question, Menkes asked him that on IHT and he was reluctant to answer in a way that he is over it now...

Let's see how it works out...

^It gotta be exciting!

When will you interview him? And yes! I second that request of posting the interview up!! :D:D:D

^^ I saw that interview - he seemed slightly embarrassed and didn't really answer the question.

Giambattista Valli is my favourite designer . . . what would I ask him ? ?

What do you think is more imporant - pleasing the customer or expressing your personal creativity?

It's a shame this is going to be over the phone though. I have not interviewed a lot of designers, but my favorite have to be Dsquared. They were perfect hosts, fun to be with, really easy going.

this is so exciting Harryx, lucky you ;)

he seemed happy at his early days with Ungaro, was he? what have been changed later? does he miss his days there now?

in F/W 07/08 there was a hidden homage to Yves Saint Laurent, from color palette, the velvet dresses with satin ruffles, little black dress & even the heart shaped acceories ... which was a succefull & charming approach in modernaising YSL vocabulry ... so was it intended? why?

is he planning a men line in the future -which I'd love to see- ?

any fragrance launching plans & what would be his vision & concept for such a project?

& good luck Harryx ... enjoy

^ He used to re-draw designs by such designers as Yves Saint Laurent and so learnt about the importance of a signature silhouette

Ah interesting!

Thank you guys for the help! :)

We will focus on his show in Florence, did you like it?

Okay!
I have a new question:
Every Italian loves football, you know. What about him? Is he like it?
What is his favourite food?

I hope that my questions don't seem to be silly...

^adding one:

Who are his favourite models/photographers/designers/stylist/etc at the moment?

Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, Valli don't do his own ad campaign? So maybe you can ask why wouldn't he start doing his own ad campaigns?

God, I really can't wait for the fruit of interview Harryx! :D
