hey hun, I got the swiss ETA movement.. let me copy paste the specs

mine was 218 + shipping 250 (mind you, my shipping was 35 to south america, should be less for u)

Salmon dial, roman markers.
In Smooth rounded bezel and Osyter Bracelet ..

Sapphire crystal and Swiss eta 2671-2.

ilvbags: no, quartz is OK with me.. all of my watches (Gucci, fendi, emporio armani, D&G) have quartz movement. Chanel uses quartz for it's 33mm watches, and automatic for it's 38mm watches. 38 would be HUGE hun :) 33 is big enough and you saw it on CB :)and YES, chanel made 33mm in quartz and 38mm in automatic movement LOL

I will post pictures tomorrow for sure. I have a new desire: Hublot Ladies Big Bang Purple Carat Watch. I first saw it in my departures magazine. I need to track down the real thing to touch it.

that purple was is beautiful!!! gosh there's so much I need to learn now.. off I go to the watch rep forum to educate myself!!

:)

^^Haha, yes rep watches are a whole new ball game. I feel out of my depths too.

I got a sterling silver LV cuff bracelet from Kerry. I can post pics later if anyone wants to see. :)

Woah that's $100 difference between the Swiss eta and Asia movement. Can anyone enlighten me on the diff?

Swiss ETA movements are in almost all watches (auth) from low end to high end (cK, Gucci, Chanel, Breitling, Omega, IWC...) though Omega and IWC do modify the movements. read more here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ETA_SA I only know of Patek Philippe, which make the entire movement themselves <3

I didn't know asian movement was SO much cheaper. Considering I don't know much about watches either, and these things are fashion accessories anyway, I'd go for the lower priced and use the watch and enjoy it :)

Post the bracelet.

That Hublot is to DIE for.

Regarding movement, so far as I can tell from mostly lurking on the rep site, the Swiss movements are more expensive because they have to be imported.

I would think for our purposes, an Asian movement would be fine.

A lot of the rep watch collectors seem to be very in to the mechanics of the watch -- I hate to stereotype by sex but I think it's mostly a guy thing -- I don't give a hoot about what my car engine is like as long as it takes me where I want to go when I put the key in the ignition.:D

With a watch, I want it to run and look -- well fill in the adjective. I don't have any particular interest in a $600 replica watch.

I have Jacky's Chanel J 12 automatic which was bought when I knew nothing about watches -- I wear my watch so infrequently that it is always stopped since it mostly just hangs out in my desk drawer.

ok- anyone seen this LV watch? (pic from tPF)
