At 93 years old, fashion icon Iris Apfel is more relevant than ever, which is precisely why she’s now the star of her own documentary, “Iris,” in theaters April 29.
Directed by “Grey Gardens” helmer Albert Maysles, who died last week, the doc explores Apfel’s personal story and influence on the fashion scene over decades.
“I didn’t give a damn about going to the party or being at the party. It was getting dressed for the party,” she says in the film’s new trailer. “And there’s truth and poetry in that.”
