Her second RTW collection, and quite an improvement from last season. Some beautiful things here.... and it actually looks wearable! I really like it!

Pictures of the "set": Iekeline Stange, Soo Joo Park and Hannelore Knuts (?) as background models. It looks awesome.

Some of the pieces are nice and very wearable. It's a great interpretation of her HC collections, but I want to see something different now.

Thanks Psylocke!

I'm a big fan of her work, she is one of the few exciting designers now.
But I prefer her 3D print couture by far. I'd rather wear those than this.
Her rtw seems poorly constructed, same as last season. And it's by far less inspired.
Although I like that she maintains the aesthetic.

And the vacuum-packed humans, LOVE that! (Do not try this at home, boys and girls, lol  )

Love the "background models"- that metaphor of birth or packaging or mass production or sterile technology is amazing. The collection itself was pretty safe, but it's nice to see actual pieces you can see women wear comfortably. Though I do hope she pushes her couture and 3d experiments further, you can tell that is her voice and identity.

Not a fan of the iridescent section but I love the set and some of the more structured looks.

I love the fluid-like fabric. The light makes them look like they have some kind of embroidery on them. These dresses look futuristic yet romantic at the same time.

i loved the vacuum seal presentation! so nice to see a unique installation-presentation at the shows again. i was hoping we might see a revival of that…i missed it so.

and the collection was definitely impressive to me. a lot of those dresses were beautiful….iridescent not in the typical manner but she made the material look almost like liquid metals was being poured over them. beautiful treatment and skill. much of the collection was typical iris but pared down and not so extreme so not an entirely unexpected collection but wasn't predictable either. just true to her aesthetic.

Iris has designed a very nice ready-to-wear collection, but it feels to me it needs a bit of polish. That last dress looked too much the same as in her HC collection, she should have skipped that one or done something else. Love the fluid fabrics. She needs to evolve more than using that McQ vide every time. The background idea was awesome, very Gaga.

This is soooo bad!!!!! She is really NOT a good designer. The pre-2007 Alexander Mcqueen aesthetic is very stale and out of fashion. The world has literally moved on from the warrior woman in armour and towering heels fashion and she and Gareth Pugh are the only ones who got left behind. One of the first things you learn at design school is how to differentiate between fashion as art and fashion as an unwearable art object. Her's is a universe that is fiercely regressive in terms of objective and functionality, in the name of the 'fashion as an unwearable over designed pieces of art objects '. Sorry for the rant :(

Hmmm... Ok.

-> I did find this collection beautiful. It's the perfect balance between her Couture and what's supposed to be wearable. I would wear everything in a heartbeat.
Those garments on Hanne Gabby are killing me...

Love the set! Iris is always one designer I look forward to, nothing beats her couture collection and I really hope she explores the 3D prints further.

I love the boots in the beginning of the collection! The way the gowns seem to flow is really pretty. Scott, you described the material best, the liquid metal garments are really eye catching, this is very Iris. Also like the hair and the subdued color palette.
