I guess the reason why I never understood everyone’s obsession with Meisel is that this guy simply just stole (more than any other famous fashion photographer) not just Avedon’s aesthetics but also huge part of Penn’s as well! And it doesn’t look like paying homage or something, it looks like straight forward stealing due to lack of actual talent. But what Meisel could never steal from those Masters is the magic that both Avedon and especially Penn had in their masterpieces!👏🏼🙌🏼❤️
