I think they are too. Some of the photos are a little disturbing, but I like them. I think he treated his subjects respectfully and I admire the photos for their formal qualities. They're very evocative.

yes that's something i like about him. he is not just pleasing. i saw the great nudes once at an exhibition and it created a very strange atmosphere...with all the people walking around trying not to show signs of curiousity.
