You're welcome! Working around the Trumps: It's not just a job, it's an experience!! I am glad she has gotten back into the social scene a bit- she is always interesting!
OPENINGS:
SoHo will soon be infused with an extra shot of luxury. Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry is scheduled to open at 109 Mercer St. on Black Friday. The shop from the daughter of The Donald migrated from a 900-square-foot storefront on Madison Avenue to its new 2,400-square-foot space. The new white, black and coral-colored store features Trump's 10 collections of jewelry, a bridal salon and a runway for possible future fashion shows. “My collection pays homage to the past while embracing the future, which is exactly how SoHo has reinvented itself,” Trump said in a statement.

^ Thanks! She is looking good these days! I have to laugh to myself that she and her father are always, like every day, on one or another of the local or network Fox stations....her best friend is Wendy Dang, who is married to the guy who started and owns all of the Fox stations- pure coincidence, of course...
Well, here we go again...Mr "I can't be bothered to dress up a bit and look like I give a damn" was at Ivanka's new store opening last night...Was he just back from a round of golf or watching the big game with the guys? Disgraceful- his rudeness and disrespect (over and over again) are off the scale... (I'll never forget how Ivanka told of their cameo together on Gossip Girl coming on, and how he couldn't be bothered to come in and watch it with her because he was watching a game in the other room...spoiled little trust fund brat!!!) But she looks lovely anyway...

Here we go...almost time for Donald to mouth off defending Ivanka, call Derek a loser, a moron- the usual routine...
Marc Fisher Footwear, the licensing company behind Ivanka Trump's shoe line, has refused to cooperate with Derek Lam's cease-and-desist letter regarding a look-alike sandal. Lam CEO Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann accused Trump's company of "blantantly" copying their Ayami wedge shoe on Wednesday, and Lam's lawyers demanded that all of Trump's Cadie wedges be pulled from shelves within seven days. But yesterday, Marc Fisher Footwear announced that they have no intention of meeting these demands. WWD reports:
“The Lam wedge sandals are of a popular design type that has been used by numerous manufacturers for many decades. There is nothing iconic about the appearance of the Lam sandal,” a representative from Marc Fisher told WWD. “The Ivanka Trump sandals prominently display the Ivanka Trump name, and there can be no confusion as to the source of the Ivanka Trump sandals. Therefore, Marc Fisher Footwear, the licensee of the Ivanka Trump brand, strongly denies Lam’s claims.”
Unseemly conflicts like this one are usually settled quietly between the respective parties, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming weeks.
