In between her motherly duties and bustling career, Ivanka Trump graced the front page of REDBOOK magazine's May 2013 issue.
The 31-year-old real estate heiress looked absolutely gorgeous in green for the Matt Jones cover shoot while offering up fashion advice and talking about her life as a working mom.

On juggling her career and baby time:
"Oh, every morning I’m so sad to leave Arabella. But it’s important for me to continue what I’m doing. It’s fulfilling to me, and I think it makes me a better mom when I’m home. And incidentally, I hate the expression 'working mom,' because when I’m with Arabella on the weekends, I’m much more exhausted on Monday morning than I am on Friday night! [Laughs] I think the expression 'working' versus 'non-working' implies that a mother who stays home doesn’t work. It’s far more difficult than anything I do in the office."
On keeping her family's personal life out of the public eye:
"Many people who come from obscurity and shoot into the limelight, they don’t really know what they’re getting into, whereas I did. I went in with my eyes wide open. I don’t let people into things that are too private. People ask all the time, 'Oh, can we take photographs of you and your closet?' No. That feels voyeuristic in a way that I don’t feel comfortable with. I’m very active on social media, but you don’t see me tweet a photo of Jared and me lying in bed on Sunday morning. I don’t want to see other people lying in bed on a Sunday morning; why would someone want to see me?"
On her simple fashion sense:
"Buy simple, classic pieces—a good trench, a crisp white shirt, a shift dress—and then add some fun through accessories. Every woman should have a great black dress that she can wear as a baseline. Then throw on a chunky necklace, or some bracelets. The simplest way to do it is to add a little twist to a neutral palette: black, beige, white."
On her dad, Donald Trump, being a grandfather:
"Oh he takes her all the time—but with me. He wouldn’t know what to do if she was crying or needed a diaper change. Although I think he’d figure it out. He was always a great father in that he was always there. Now that my brothers and I work with him, we’ve become even closer. If we talked a lot before, we speak 50 times a day now. I spend half the time in his office. Its wild."
