^haha i agree! although there wasn't alot of love scenes in the movie. only 2! i thouhgt the movie was well-acted, but i think the ending would have had more of an effect on me if they had showed jake and heath together more (and i do not mean sexually).

I don't think Jake was supposed to look "hot" in BBM, cause Jack Twist isn't described as a gorgeous beauty and hot, he was fine and that's it. Of course he was hot and gorgeous to Ennis cause he was the love of his life and when you're in love, everything about the other person seems perfect.Plus, you're not meant to look at Jake but to Jack,this isn't a movie about looking hot on the screen.
I think he did a really outstanding performance cause he gives this "rough cowboy image" but he's sweet on the other hand and tries to show Ennis his love no matter what.
The thing is that he has been overshadowed by Heath's performance cause his was painfully beautiful. There were so many feelings trapped inside Ennis and no way out cause he knew damn well his relationship had no future, just he says it, it was just a matter on meeting every few months,having sex, talking and return home telling his wife Jack was the fishing buddy. I personally think Heath deserves an Oscar.
